The Dhana Widyatmika case has uncovered payment by traveler's checks from Batam City officials to several politicians. There are indications the transactions were authorized.

THESE suspicious signs should not be ignored. Several members of the 2004-2009 House of Representatives (DPR) were discovered to have cashed traveler's checks from Batam City officials, despite no business links between them. The Attorney General's Office (AGO) should be trying to trace the payment of these checks, rather than sitting on the case for more than a year.
