BANK Century, known as Bank Mutiara today, is back causing the banking industry to panic. Rumors once restricted to banking circles have now come out into the open: the bank is going through a sharply declining capital adequacy ratio (CAR), down to 5.52 percent, as of last October. This is much lower than the 8 percent minimum determined by Bank Indonesia.
