Australia needs to change its policy on boat people. Pushing them back to Indonesian waters will just aggravate the situation.

The Australian government's decision to push refugees back to Indonesia must be strongly protested. Prime Minister Tony Abbott's policy clearly violates a United Nations decree, which prohibits its member states from forcing out refugees from other countries. What is most damaging, Australian Navy patrol boats have been caught entering Indonesian territory in their zeal to obstruct boat people from entering Australian waters.
