The government should immediately put a stop to the smuggling of tin, including people who take advantage of weak regulations. The state has lost trillions of rupiah, and there has been major environmental damage. Nobody knows how many hectares of once-green forests in Bangka and Belitung are now barren due to the reckless mining of tin ore.
