ORGANIZATIONS, including ministries, are not like railroad cars, which must follow the tracks. They are more like automobiles, which can turn left or right as needed. Therefore oversight is important.
In order to monitor the direction and speed of the government, the Presidential Working Unit for Management Supervision and Development Control (UKP4) was set up five years ago. President Joko Widodo should retain this unit so it can comprehensively evaluate the performance of ministries.
