PERTAMINA'S plan to withdraw Premium gasoline deserves praise. It is in line with the recommendation from the Oil and Gas Governance Reform Team, an ad hoc body set up by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said, last November. However, in its effort to limit the movement of the oil syndicate that has long played a role in the supply of Premium, Pertamina seems rather half-hearted about doing it.
