THE testimony of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan should be the door for the KPK to open evidence of criminalization of its leaders and investigation. Without this one step, the criminalization against the KPK will continue to end up as mere presumptions.

On May 25, Novel testified at a Constitutional Court session reviewing the KPK. He said the anti-graft commission had evidence of planned criminalization by parties being investigated by the KPK. And that's how he and two of the commission's leaders were indicted and suspended from their jobs.
