THE Constitutional Court ruling following a review of the regulations for electronic recordings is a major step backward. Now it will be harder for the public to uncover crimes, including corruption, without using recordings. Voice or video recordings will no longer be admissible as evidence if they are not carried out by law enforcement officers.
