The Supreme Court has corrected the death sentence imposed on Yusman Telaumbanua when he was still underage. A grave mistake.
Death row convict Yusman Telaumbanua, who was aged 16 when he was tried, was released last week. The sentence handed down to the youth from Hilionozega village, Idanogawo subdistrict, Nias regency was revised by the Supreme Court following an appeal.
