Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan may be clever with words, but now it seems like his own words in the past has come back to haunt him. Two years ago, he fiercely criticized his predecessor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, over his handling of the Jakarta Bay reclamation. Now, in an abrupt change of tack, Anies issued a building construction permit (IMB) for the reclaimed island based on a regulation passed by Basuki.
