The conservation of Sumatran tigers is threatened with failure because the government puts pressure on partner organizations. There needs to be a more equal relationship free of prejudice.
THE deaths of three Sumatra tigers (Panthera tigris sumatrae) in wire traps in the South Aceh protected forest shows there is still a serious threat from illegal hunting. This incident also proves that there is poor protection for the dwindling number of these rare animals.
