Indonesia is ready to begin trading carbon for coal-fired power plants. The regulations still favor the producers of emissions.
AFTER the successful trials of carbon trading for coal-fired steam power plants (PLTUs) last year, the ministry of energy and mineral resources will officially begin it on April 1. In the next two months, the ministry has asked all power plants to measure their emissions so they can be recorded as a commodity that can be traded from December 31 this year.
