The ruling by the Central Jakarta District Court ordering the KPU to delay the elections is against the Constitution. The involvement of political elites needs to be investigated.
IT is truly sad that talks of delaying elections have emerged almost 25 years after the Reformasi. In line with the Constitution, elections are routinely held every five years to elect the president, vice president and legislators. Therefore, the decision by the Central Jakarta District Court ordering the General Elections Commission (KPU) to delay the 2024 general elections is against the Constitution.
