After a quarter of a century, the movement for change that was supported by students and ordinary people has faded away without any significant improvements. Activists are now trapped under the feet of those in power.
TWENTY-FIVE years have passed, and the reform movement is now at an all-time low. The pressure for change supported by students, laborers, pro-democracy activists and other elements of society has now faded away. A number of activists from the 1998 Reformasi movement are even openly supporting ideas and policies completely at odds with the demands they called for in the past.
