Attorney General M.A. Rachman could not have purchased his luxury house in Graha Cinere on his salary alone. The two-story home on a 1,300-square-meter plot of land is part of an expensive neighborhood where the streets are lined with shady trees. The cheapest house costs Rp1.8 billion. The question is: how can an Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia with a take-home pay of Rp20 million a month afford such a house?
