The death threat (fatwa) can be dangerous and can restrict freedom of thinking that Islam values so highly.

What happens when an opinion on religious teachings is met by violence and death threats? Unintentionally, freedom of expression may come to an end. Freedom of expression and voicing opinions would be considered taboo. Intellectual rigidity would soon arise. Worse, there would be the danger of anarchy in the name of religion, a contradiction to religion itself.
