IT is not always easy to write about somebody who has just died, particularly if there are many negative stories about his life. This is because there is an old saying that goes, "Of the dead, speak kindly or not at all" (de mortuis nil nisi bonum). Although this Latin proverb comes from Europe, it still has meaning in this country, even today.
