The DPR Special Committee debating the election bill is running late again. Differences would be easier resolved if all parties actually stuck to democratic principles.

With basic problems still needing to be resolved and debates continuing, endorsement of the General Election Bill is likely to be delayed again. If this goes on, the date for the 2004 General Election could very well be put back. Initially, the legislation was to have been finalized by the House of Representatives (DPR) at the end of January.
