ONE month into his presidency, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is still being haunted by election campaign promises. Like a rising soap opera star or a celebrity on the way up, Yudhoyono seems to be overly concerned with his image. When he visited holiday parcel vendors or greeted visitors at his Idul Fitri Open House, Yudhoyono gave the impression of stiffly guarding his imageconcerned that his poll ratings would drop if he was not careful.
