Aceh’s Children, Our Tears

TO speak of Aceh’s children after the earthquake and tsunami is to speak of sorrow and shattered futures. The sorrow came when the earth shook and a gigantic wall of water resembling a horrific monster destroyed everything on land. More than 100,000 people died. UNICEF estimates that one-third of the casualties are children, but this is just a provisional figure.
