A new comprehensive criminal code has just been drafted, but it still needs adjustment to address the norms of modern society.

WHAT is being drafted is not merely the Criminal Code (KUHP), but a new criminal law. The government has prepared the bill, and shortly it will be sent to the House of Representatives (DPR) for deliberation. The groundwork for the KUHP started decades ago, and its deliberation at the DPR is unlikely to be brief. The new KUHP, after all, contains new elements to the criminal law.
