SORY Ersa Siregar, the journalist held hostage by the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) for six months was not killed by the bullets of those holding him. In fact journalists should never be taken hostage, let alone be caught in fatal crossfire. Two Indonesian Military (TNI) bullets reportedly passed through the RCTI senior reporters neck and chest on December 29 when marines attacked the GAM hideout in Kuala Maniham village, Simpang Ulin, East Aceh.
