EVERYONE agrees that the Indonesian Military (TNI), in particular the Army, needs more transport helicopters for its security operations, including the one in Aceh. Furthermore, transport for troops and logistics, is in increasingly limited supply. Even if the aircraft were in sufficient supply, their spare parts would be difficult to obtain because of the United States military embargo imposed since 1999.
