Saving Orangutans
IT is estimated there are only 6,650 orangutans left in the jungles of Sumatra and 55,000 in Borneo, as their habitats are being cleared away. Therefore, "If we want to save them, we have to save our forests," declared President Yudhoyono when launching the book Strategy and Action Plan for Orangutan National Conservation at Nusa Dua, Bali, last December 10.
