THE Town of Pontianak is now in durian season. From afternoon until late in the evening, nearly every sidewalk along the highway is filled with piles of durian fruit, especially at the Pasar Central area, Jalan Gajah Mada, Sei Jawi, and Pasar Siatan.
Many people buy them. Some do so for takeaway while others eat it on the spot. The prices range from Rp5,000 up to Rp25,000 per fruit.
