RECENTLY, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is under the sharp-eyed scrutiny of the country’s mass media. Especially when in last June the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) and Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) urged that the CSR costs should become the full-fledged responsibility of the company. Both institutions were referring to companies in the oil and gas sectors in which the BPK found many deviations from joint-venture contracts between them.
