KPC Resumes Operation

STARTING last week, six coal mining sites of PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), particularly those in Pelikan pit and Melawan pit, East Kutai, East Kalimantan, have been allowed to resume operation. Earlier, the police suspended the mining operation during investigation.

“The process of scene inspection is over, so the (mining) operation can be resumed,” said East Kalimantan Police Chief, Insp. Gen. Andi Masmiyat, in Samarinda on Tuesday last week
