Rhinos in Kalimantan are cornered in Sabah. One was found badly injured and disoriented.

KUALA Lumpur – A Sumatran rhino was rescued in injured condition on the forest fringe of Sabah, Malaysia, in early August. The female rhino was found dazed in an oil palm estate.

The Sumatran rhino came from the very rare Borneo subspecies of the family of rhino now threatened by extinction. “Obviously the rhino was very badly injured so that it left its forest environment and appeared in an open oil palm plantation,” said Senthilvel Natha
