LOMBOK, West Nusa Tenggara. Torches are lit during the maleman likuran in Ramadan to welcome the Lailatul Qadar on the night of the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th.
Called dila jojor, it is a small torch made of kapok covered with castor oil entwined around a small bamboo stick. This torch is placed by the gate in the house yard, by a tree, or at another spot considered to be the source of life.
