NTT Goes to ‘War’

BEING fatigued by poverty, famine, and long drought, the Governor of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Drs Frans Lebu Raya, decided to hold an NTT Food Summit on October 29-29, 2008 in Maumere, NTT.

The event held in cooperation with the local government, the Agriculture Department’s Food Sustainability Board, NGOs, and farmers is expected to produce a joint action plan to deal with food shortage in NTT which has become a national issue.
