A 7.7-magnitude earthquake shook Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi. Indonesia must be ready to face quake-related disasters.

HAVING been shaken by an earthquake registering 7.7 on the Richter scale on Monday morning, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi were again rocked by two further quakes two days later. These subsequent quakes northwest of Gorontalo and northwest of Melonguane, North Sulawesi, were recorded at 5.1 and 5.5 on the Richter scale, respectively.
