NTB Forests Not for Mining

THE West Nusa Tenggara administration will not allow its forests to be used for mining operations. Although there is an existing 48 mining licenses in Sumbawa regency, including the exploration currently being conducted by PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara at Elang point, the NTB administration has said it will not allow its forests to become mining sites.
