Ihamau’s Sago Cakes

IHAMAU is a village on the Atawano peninsula, Saparua island, Maluku Tengah district. The village is not very big and only has around 200 families. The family of Merry Lilipaly is one of 40 families which make serut and bagea, the traditional cakes of the Maluku people made of sago. The cakes are specialities of Ihamau.
