Donggi Under Pressure

Construction of Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas refinery is delayed. The government and BP Migas have yet to approve the project owned by the Pertamina-Medco-Mitsubishi consortium. The agreement to sell gas to Japan ended on March 31, 2009. Leaders of the countries intervened.

FOR 45 minutes President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono chatted with Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, prior to the meeting of G-20 countries, on Wednesday afternoon last week. At the bilateral meeting which took place in Grosvenor House, JW Marriott Hotel, London, UK, Aso asked Indonesia for certainty on liquified natural gas (LNG) supplies.
