IN the last round of the presidential debates, all the candidates agreed that regional autonomy is necessary. But at the same time they also agreed that the policy should be evaluated. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is the winner of the 2009 presidential election, according to the quick count system. He promised that when reelected he would assess the criteria for regional separation and determine how many regions actually need to be developed.
