Gorontalo adopts Blue Bird Taxi’s style of management to run its Marine Taxi program, and make it an example for nationwide marine society empowerment. After success in corn farming, Gorontalo has also made a breakthrough in the fishing industry sector.

BEFORE becoming a province in 2001, Gorontalo’s economy lagged behind those of neighboring provinces, as well as some other eastern Indonesian provinces. Now, with abundant natural resources at its disposal, Gorontalo is one of the few provinces whose economic growth exceeds 7 percent. That’s why Gorontalo has become one of the brightest eastern Indonesian provinces, despite its young age (it’s the 32nd of Indonesia’s 33 provinces).
