DOZENS of experts from Indonesia and abroad attended the first international conference of biological diversity in Jayapura, Papua on November 11-14. The conference was opened by State Minister for the Environment, Gusti Muhammad Hatta, and presented Indonesia’s former Environment Minister Emil Salim as one of its keynote speakers. Papua Governor, Barnabas Suebu, and West Papua Governor, Abraham O. Ataruri, gave opening speeches.
