First Harvest from Merauke Food Estate in 2012

DEPUTY Minister of Agriculture Bayu Krisnamurthi stated that the first harvest of the large-scale agricultural food estate in Merauke, Papua, was expected in 2012. “The process requires one to 1.5 years to begin production,” he said at the end of the Department of Agriculture national working meeting, Thursday last week.
