South Sulawesi Economic Growth Not as Predicted

SOUTH Sulawesi’s economic growth last year was not as high as predicted by the Makassar branch of Bank Indonesia, which was 7.8 percent. 

Research by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) released yesterday showed that South Sulawesi’s economic growth in 2009 was only 6.2 percent. But this amount was still far above the national economic growth rate of 4.5 percent.
