HER hands dexterously sketch a batik design different from Javanese ones. The sketch portrays the motif of Lontara (ancient Bugis script) and Pinisi boat which reminds us of the land of Angin Mamiri—as South Sulawesi is dubbed. This is what Andi Tenri Uba, 41, does on a daily basis. She would spend her time designing and running her batik business which she started in 2008.
