FROM Ndete, a quiet coastal village in Magepanda, Sikka regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Victor Emannuel Rayon began his reforesting efforts. A tsunami uprooted all of the trees along the coast in this village 12 years ago, leaving it dark and desolate. The fish went to deeper waters, and the shrimp and crayfish disappeared.
