HE is a native son of Dayak Ngaju, who obtained a PhD in anthropo­logy from the University of Indo­nesia last December with cum laude.­ His thesis was titled Kaharingan, The Dynamics of Dayak Religion in Cen­tral Kalimantan. Marko Mahin, 41, was born in Sei Kayu, Kapuas regency. Kaharingan is the religion of the Dayak­ Ngaju tribe from thousands of years ago.
