Riung, 6am, mid-July...
THE pier at the Seventeen Islands National in Riung, Ngada, Central Flores, was quiet and cold—covered by misty, foggy air. But several journalists—Tempo English Edition included—seemed to enjoy their stroll there. “You have to go early in the morning if you want to see the underwater life. Otherwise the wind will muddle the water,” said Muammar, a local resident.
