A WHIRLWIND in February devastated fishermen's settlements on the coast of Makassar, including Untia subdistrict. This kampong is where Djambrud Damayanti, 48, lives. Her house was badly damaged by the tornado four months ago. Her lavender seedlings were also flattened. "The violent wind knocked down the tree where I grew 500 lavender seedlings," she said.
