Sweet Smell of Enrekang Coffee

The regency of Enrekang in South Sulawesi is blessed with land and weather conducive to good coffee production. Despite its domestic consumption and exports, however, Enrekang coffee is not as popular as that of Tana Toraja, even though both types are grown around the same land area and Enrekang coffee ranks at the top nationally. Realizing the potential, the government has begun actively to re-cultivate and seek new ways of processing this coffee, first grown during the Dutch colonial days.
