His face comes alive whenever someone asks about the fate of refugees in Maluku. After all, Pieter Pattiwaellapia, 48, has been in the job for nearly 10 years, starting as head of the resettlement team of refugees from Kaliu village in Central Maluku, where he comes from. In 2003, Pattiwaellapia, who now lives in Ambon city, was given bigger responsibilities as director of the Maluku Refugee Coalition, a job he currently holds.
