Local Orang Rimba say they are being pushed to the side of their own jungle. They have to change their operations to survive.
A number of bare-chested men were notching the rubber tree trunks at the border of Bukit Dua Belas National Park (TNBD).
Not far away, Tumenggung Marituha, 54, was looking at them shaking his head. "We have to do this in order to survive, although this opposed our customs," he told Tempo two weeks ago.
