AT the base of Mount Belung, about 15 minutes by car from Bandar Lampung, sits a 5-hectare preserve flush with trees and flowers. The trees and flowers do more than please the eye, however. They are the Gita Persada Butterfly Park, a sanctuary for some of Indonesia's rarest winged residents.

Joe Purnomo, 27, visited the park two weeks ago, his eighth visit to the park. The freelance photographer and graphic designer loves to go picture-huning at the park . "This is a great location for a photoshoot. They even have a wooden house in one corner," said the man who goes by the nickname Ipung.
