A number of musicians in North Sumatra combine ethnic musical instruments with the contemporary ones. Traditional mantras are rearranged into modern songs.

Brevin Tarigan is really busy in the last two months. By the end of last October, his music group, de Tradisi, appeared in the Jong Bataks Arts Festival in the Medan Cultural Park, North Sumatra. Now, he and his friends are preparing their mini concert for January 30.
