Food Self-Sufficiency and Tourism in Bahitom

Three years ago, nothing grew on the 5.6-hectare land in the Bahitom village, Central Kalimantan-not even weeds. But now varieties of vegetables flourish there, among others water spinach, chili peppers, and tomatoes. It appears that members of the Bahitom Farmers' Group (Gapoktan) have successfully worked their magic on the land.
